Congratulations to Bay Area Community Resources, The Center for ArtEsteem, and The Unity Council on their two-year grant awards from the Oakland Fund for Children and Youth. Bay Area Community Resources was awarded $1.93 million to provide expanded learning programs at 13 Oakland elementary and middle schools. The Center for ArtEsteem was awarded $600,000 for afterschool arts programming and its ArtEsteem Leadership Program. The Unity Council was awarded $950,000 to support youth with disabilities as they transition to adulthood and to provide culturally rooted mentoring and youth development for Latino boys.
