The Center for Wellness and Achievement in Education for their award of $150,000 from San Francisco Unified School District. CWAE will use these funds to expand their evidence-based meditation, health, and wellness programming designed for teachers and administrators at five SFUSD sites.
Alameda County Office of Education for winning $229,942 in funding from the California Department of Education’s Career Technical Education Incentive Grant, to enhance CTE programs for students in ACOE’s schools.
Hayward Unified School District for its award of $100,000 from the Stupski Foundation to help it support students and families during the COVID-19 public health emergency
Alameda County Office of Education and Monterey Peninsula Unified School District for their recent awards of $6,696,375 and $756,804 respectively from the California Department of Education. These funds allocated from the Inclusive Early Education Expansion Program will go toward critical facilities improvements, adaptive equipment, and professional development activities to improve access and quality of early education for children with special and exceptional needs.
Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program for their award of $450,000 from the California Department of Education under the Career Technical Education Facilities program. These funds, leveraged alongside another recent award from the K12 Strong Workforce Program, will enable MVROP to reinstate their Welding and Materials Joining CTE program, increasing opportunities for high school and college students in Fremont, Newark, and Union City to prepare to enter the workforce in this in-demand field.
Finally, we extend our congratulations to Hayward Unified School District for winning $1,932,902 in grant funding from the California Department of Education’s Learning Communities for School Success program, to support schools’ Coordination of Services Teams and other supports for students and families.

Magnet Schools Assistance Program Purpose: To improve students’ academic achievement, including acquiring books, materials, technology, and equipment to support a rigorous, theme-based academic program; conducting planning and promotional activities; providing professional development opportunities for teachers to implement the academic program; and paying the salaries of effective teachers and other instructional personnel. MSAP also enables LEAs to support student transportation, provided the transportation costs are sustainable and the costs do not constitute a significant portion of grant funds.
