HTA Consulting congratulates the Alameda County Office of Education for being awarded a School Counselor Residency grant by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Through this grant of $600,000 per year for four years, ACOE will train 15 new School Counselors each year, collaborating with California State University, East Bay, San Francisco State University, Saint Mary’s College of California, San Jose State University, and many school districts in Alameda County. Grant funding will help candidates cover their educational and living expenses while they attend college and get hands-on experience working in Alameda County schools.
We also congratulate Eden Youth & Family Center for its successful grant proposal ($870,000 over 3 years) to the California Department of Public Health, to support the state-wide “Ending California’s Tobacco Epidemic in Every Community” program’s work in central Alameda County.
