As a regular Grants Newsletter subscriber we plan to continue to provide you with timely and accurate information about upcoming funding opportunities. Given significant turmoil at the federal level, many of our federal usual sources are using TBD a lot to describe grant allocations, timing of RFPs, etc. Fortunately the State of California and the Bay Area Counties are much more predictable funding sources, and we will continue to give you the latest information we have available. We will consider your requests and fulfill them if feasible.<\/p>\n<h4>Congratulations!<\/h4>\n<p>We are thrilled that we were able to end 2017 with a major win for the children, youth and families of South Hayward. In partnership with CSU East Bay, Hayward Unified School District, City of Hayward, Chabot College, Eden Area ROP, Tiburcio Vasquez Heath Center, La Familia Counseling Services, Alameda County Health Care Services Agency, Community Child Care Council of Alameda County, among others, we were able to secure a five-year $29.8 million Promise Neighborhood Grant for the South Hayward Community, one of only four grants awarded in the country.<\/p>\n<p>We would also like to congratulate Meristem, which was one of the awardees for the Workforce Accelerator Fund 6.0 grants from the California Workforce Development Board and Employment Development Department, as well as the Family Emergency Shelter Coalition (FESCO), which received a grant from the Episcopal Impact Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to head over to Facebook and &#8220;Like&#8221; us in order to receive up-to-the-minute updates on grant RFPs that are being released!<\/p>\n<p>Grants in Education<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h2>Upcoming<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The California Learning Communities for School Success Program (LCSSP)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Purpose: To provide funds to local education agencies to support programs aimed improving student outcomes by reducing truancy and supporting students who are at risk of dropping out of school or are victims of crime.
